Director Sean Breathnach introduces his film, Beyond the Woods – a supernatural horror, set in an isolated house in the forest. Seven friends have decided to meet up after not seeing each other for a long time. Unfortunately, a fiery sink-hole has opened up in the mountains nearby and it’s burning hot and spewing out sulphur. They are determined to have a good weekend even though the roads are closed and there is a smell outside. As the weekend progresses they start behaving out of character. It’s too late when they realise that it’s not just a sink-hole that opened near their isolated retreat, but something altogether more horrific.
