Tom Clancy was an enthusiast for Film, even before he entered college in Bristol in 2021. His short film 'Desolation' made with a colleague was shortlisted for the Kingston Film Festival. Tom moved into the MA Film and Television course at Bristol University and in the two years there produced many short films in collaboration with colleagues.
In June 2022, Tom co-founded the Bristol Collaborative Arts group, which aimed to bring a variety of other academic groups into the development of media, film and television. This was hugely successful and recognised by the University as the Best Society of the Year.
Tom was due to move to the United States to study film when he passed suddenly in April of 2023. Tom was so passionate about film, his parents Anne-Marie and Tom are delighted to remember his passion, in this award.
