Each year, FFF shines a spotlight on the power of music in film and this year’s programme is richer than ever. Through screenings, live performances, masterclasses, and industry clinics, we invite you to explore how music shapes story, emotion, and meaning on screen.
A magical evening of film, live music, and storytelling that honours Irish fiddle-making tradition. The night begins with a visually stunning documentary on master luthier Jim McKillop, capturing his final creation in a six-month journey filmed by Patrick Conway, with a breathtaking score by Zoë Conway.
Followed by a live set from Zoë Conway & John Mc Intyre, "one of the best folk duos on the planet" (BBC), this is a soul-stirring celebration of craft, culture, and sound.
On Saturday the 24th of May award-winning composer, lyricist, and producer Anna Rice will lead this exclusive masterclass on composer–filmmaker collaboration. With over 200 TV episodes and major global credits (Re-Creation, Our Blue World, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny), Anna shares insights on creative development, troubleshooting, and getting the best from your score.
