Each year, FFF shines a spotlight on the power of music in film and this year’s programme is richer than ever. Through screenings, live performances, masterclasses, and industry clinics, we invite you to explore how music shapes story, emotion, and meaning on screen.

From a Forest to a Fiddle | Forais go Fidil

Screening + Live Performance by Zoë Conway & John Mc Intyre Thurs 22nd May @ the Holy Trinity Church, Colla Road.

A magical evening of film, live music, and storytelling that honours Irish fiddle-making tradition. The night begins with a visually stunning documentary on master luthier Jim McKillop, capturing his final creation in a six-month journey filmed by Patrick Conway, with a breathtaking score by Zoë Conway.

Followed by a live set from Zoë Conway & John Mc Intyre, "one of the best folk duos on the planet" (BBC), this is a soul-stirring celebration of craft, culture, and sound.

Scoring Stories: Masterclass with Anna Rice

On Saturday the 24th of May award-winning composer, lyricist, and producer Anna Rice will lead this exclusive masterclass on composer–filmmaker collaboration. With over 200 TV episodes and major global credits (Re-Creation, Our Blue World, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny), Anna shares insights on creative development, troubleshooting, and getting the best from your score.

Moderated by Sarah Glenanne, CEO of the Screen Composers Guild of Ireland, this session is essential for filmmakers and composers alike.

Music for Film: Free Advice Clinic

Sunday 25th May: If you have a questions about music rights, licensing, budgeting, or how to find the right composer for your film, join the Screen Composers Guild of Ireland for a hands-on advice clinic. A short presentation will be followed by one-on-one chats with industry pros.

Led by Sarah Glenanne (SCGI CEO) and Anna Rice, this is a golden opportunity to get clear, practical guidance on bringing music into your film, smartly, legally, and creatively.
