Former school teacher, Peter Dillon decided to trek the Himalayas, teach scuba diving in the South China Sea, and study Chinese Martial Arts in Malaysia and China. In 2001, while in New Zealand, he made the transition into stunt acting, beginning with none other than The Lord of the Rings, followed by The Chronicles of Narnia, Underworld, Avatar and The Hobbit.

For 2 years Peter worked again with Peter Jackson, as stunt double and picture double for the character, Balin, on The Hobbit (for which he has been nominated for a Screen Actors Guild stunt award) and has since worked on Vikings, The Legend of Longwood, Mrs Brown’s Boys D’Movie, Rebellion, Ripper Street, Penny Dreadful, and Into the Badlands. Recently, Peter has been working in Scotland filming Mary Queen of Scots, starring Saoirse Ronan.
