Run & Jump
The heart-warming film, which is Steph Green’s feature debut, follows the spirited and impossibly optimistic Vanetia (Peake) who is slowly rebuilding the life she loved following her husband’s (MacLiam) sudden personality-changing stroke. Forte plays a buttoned-up American neuropsychologist who arrives in Ireland to stay with the family to observe Vanetia’s husband. But his continued presence in the house sets the family on course for an emotional collision. Kerry-native Ailbhe Keogan is the author of the novel Molly & the Cyclops, published by Hag’s Head Press in 2006. Run & Jump is her first feature film script and was selected as one of twelve to take part in the Berlin Talent Campus Script Station at the 2010 Berlin Film Festival. The film shot in Kerry with Dingle, Slea Head Drive, Duinin Pier and the Three Sisters mountains all showcased on the big screen.
